Knights Key - Marathon, FL - Day 35

Last night I unpacked most of our things from the cruise but this morning we desperately needed to rearrange and pack some clothing back into the suitcases and put them in the cargo carrier. That was a big and tiring job. Without the bit of breeze we had it would have been way too hot. As it was, 82 degrees with 80% humidity. We also did laundry since we didn't get that free bag of laundry done that I expected. I think that must be a Celebrity Cruise Line perk.

By the time we did all of that it was time for a late lunch and a rest. I saw a sheriff's car zoom by quickly, immediately followed by multiple sirens that all came into the campground. There were at least 2 sheriffs, maybe 3, an ambulance, and a fire truck. It was "something medical" - a very bad day for someone in the campground I guess. Never a lack of things to pray for  no matter where you are.
We were going to go to the Art Festival in down town Marathon but I tweaked my back a bit this morning so we decided to stay here and I iced it, John only agreed to go because I wanted to! It was over at 4p anyway. Tony seems a bit under the weather as well. John took a nice long nap. We had a good but quiet day. There is a lot going on here today, a  Super Bowl Tailgate, chili cook off, and drinks at the Tiki Bar. We are passing on all of it. There are very few No See-Ums tonight, I am glad about that! Tomorrow we plan to do some exploring after a good night's sleep!

  1. I hope by today your back is 100% better...and Tony is, too. Maybe the heat is just wearing on him?
