I forgot a couple things about today. For the first time I forgot to put the bowl of fruit in the sink before departure. Of course I discovered the fruit along with a full container of cherry tomatoes all over the floor at our first stop. We also noticed the flap covering the water heater elements had lost two screws. No wonder with some of the roads we have been on, they rattled out! We took the flap all the way off and stopped at the first RV place we saw. (we would have stopped at a hardware store but we saw this place first) The guy gave us his cup of screws to test out what would work so we’re all set with that. He wanted to see our trailer inside but of course tried to sell us a really nice trailer that retails for $26K for just $18K. I will admit it was quite luxurious compared to ours. It had a separate shower tub combo and the bed was stand alone with the dining area totally separate. But of course we would not consider another purchase like that anyway. It was a Jayco 19 ft. and weighed 3,100. They have discontinued making that model, I wonder why? He wanted to convince us the van would pull it, it might… but ours is more like 2,500. Anyway, people always want to see our trailer. I would say 50% of our stops bring curious people along. They are impressed it has so much for being so small.
