John has done a fabulous job with the modification. It looks professionally done. I need to get on the ball and find the appropriate bedding to transform the area into an oasis of comfort!

Bed Modifications cont…
John agrees about the layout and plan. We went out and measured, etc. yesterday. He will make a few phone calls today to see just what materials we want to use to keep the weight factor down as well. He said it sounds simple enough. So, we’ll see how it plays out in real life and not on a blog post!

Bed Modifications
I have been reading posts on the Casita Club Forum about the various bed modification for the Liberty. To me the best options is the split Queen with the two smaller twins. This is ample room and leaves the center walk. I sent all my reading and posts to John and he is going to check it out today. I doubt we make a “first trip” for some time to come at the rate we are preparing, but that’s okay too. We do need a comfortable bed…

Anti-Gravity!
Thanks to my sweet Mom we have two very super comfortable lounge chairs for our trailer. I can just “feel” myself under a few huge pine or redwood trees with my Kindle! YAY!

Parked
The trailer is parked in the side yard now. Everything we have thus far is packed in and fit nicely. We will have a couple of containers that we pack in the back of the van for trips, along with our camp chairs, etc. Next on the agenda is a tune up for the van, trailer cover, and most importantly memory foam for the bed!!! We are so happy went went ahead with this purchase. It is a busy couple of months ahead so not sure when we will actually get the trailer ready for the first trip.

The Hitch
The hitch was easily adjusted by Noble Trucks and we are all set. It all works beautifully. We watched a few Casita YouTube videos that were really helpful. There are 7 videos recorded at the plant where the trailers are made. They are amateur in nature but quite informative. Now we need to start thinking about what to put in the trailer and where to put things! A lot of my “saved” camping things from the old tent trailer look too tacky to go in this trailer! I put a few things in today and John tested out the awning, it is very simple to put up or out. Having lots of fun!
